Q- "How do I know what level to go into? I've done a few classes, but that was a couple of years ago."

A- "With few exceptions, it is advisable to start in the beginners class, and wait for the teacher to tell you when you're ready to progress to the next level. Even if you've done salsa before, everyone teaches slightly differently, and there are a variety of styles being taught, so it is beneficial to know the style and names of moves etc in a new class."

Q- "I'm recently single and am interested in taking up salsa as a new hobby and a way of meeting and making new friends. I don't have much confidence, can salsa help me?"

A- "Cubashe encourage a fun, and friendly atmosphere at all our events and venues. The salsa scene attracts people from all walks of life and we welcome everyone of all ages and levels. people quickly make friends and soon feel at home on the salsa circuit."

Q- "I don't have a dance partner! Does it matter?"

A- "Although bringing a dance partner is helful, it certainly isn't obligatory. Classes are structured so that nobody is left out. People change partners at regular intervals in the class, so everyone gets a chance to dance with everyone else."

Q- "I've been dancing for several years, and am an experienced advanced level dancer. I take dancing seriously and want learn more detail and style in order to perfect my moves."

A- "A studio environment is probably most suitable. Cubashe run a class at the Rox school of Dance (Thursday 7pm). The class is quite challenging with particular attention to detail and bodymovement. Students with particular requirements find private lessons very beneficial. You can't beat one-to-one tuition."
