Leo
Henriquez is the original Cuban! A street dancer from Havana, Leo's
love of music, dance and rhythm began at an early
age. After studying music and percussion in one of Havana's prestigious
music schools, Leo went on to play with many top Cuban salsa bands
of the
80's. His
dancing style is heavily influenced by his musical and percussion
background. His
original footwork reflects and mimics rhythms and counter rhythms heard in
a song. On
arrival into the U.K Leo began sharing his passion for salsa dancing with
a captive audience, and since then his work has gone from strength to strength. His
love of music and his dream to dance has today become 'Cubashe Dance Promotions'.
